A front walk, lawn, and simple foundation plantings were added to provide curb appeal to this classic home. The compact, uneven backyard was leveled and reinforced with fieldstone retaining walls to accommodate a raised garden living room with a fireplace. Rather than hide the toolshed, it became part of the design. The structure became a backdrop for the new water feature while another space to entertain was built on its roof.
